College Basketball Player of the Year Odds: Who Will Win?

The college Basketball season is in Full Swing and there are a Number of players who are in the running for the title of College basketball player of the Year. Who do oddsmakers think has the best chance of winning the award?

Zion Williamson (+200)

Zion Williamson is the current favorite to win the 2020 college basketball Player of the Year Award The Duke freshman is averaging 22.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game so far this season. Williamson is also shooting an impressive 68.3 percent from the field and has picked up 1.8 steals per game.

Ja Morant (+300)

Murray State point guard Ja Morant is one of the most electrifying players in college basketball The 6-foot-3 sophomore led the Racers to a 30-1 record this season, including a perfect 16-0 mark in conference play Morant averaged 24.5 points, 10.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from three-point range He’s widely expected to be a top-three pick in the 2019 NBA draft and is currently the favorite to win College basketball player of the Year at +300 odds (bet $100 to win $300).

RJ Barrett (+400)

Markus Howard (+1000)

Markus Howard may not be the favorite to win College Basketball Player of the Year, but he’s certainly worth keeping an eye on. The Marquette guard averaged 25.0 points per game last season and is coming off a campaign in which he shot 50.5 percent from three-point range.

Udoka Azubuike (+1400)

The 7-foot center from Nigeria has been a force in the middle for the Jayhawks all season, averaging 13.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game while shooting an incredible 77.4% from the field.

Kansas is once again one of the favorites to win the NCAA Tournament and it will be Azubuike leading the way for Bill Self’s squad. If he can lead Kansas to a national title, he will have a great case to win the Naismith Award.

Myles Powell (+1600)

Entering the 2019-20 season Myles Powell was one of the favorites to win National Player of the Year. The senior guard from Seton Hall is a two-time First Team All-Big East selection and was named Big East Player of the Year in 2018-19 after averaging 23.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game

Powell has all the tools to be an elite player at the collegiate level. He’s an excellent scorer, shooter and playmaker who has shown the ability to take over games when needed. He’s also a good defender, although he could still stand to improve in that area.

If Powell can lead Seton Hall to a deep run in the NCAA tournament and put up big numbers along the way, he will have a very good chance of winning National Player of the Year.

Devon Dotson (+2000)

Devon Dotson is currently sitting at +2000 to win the 2020 college basketball Player of the Year Award

The sophomore from Kansas is averaging 19 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds per game while shooting 46% from the field and 37% from three-point range. He’s been a key player for the Jayhawks all season long and his numbers have been solid across the board.

Dotson is definitely a longshot to win the award, but he’s certainly someone to keep an eye on. At +2000, he could offer some serious value if he can lead Kansas to a big season.

Trevon Bluiett (+2500)

Trevon Bluiett entered his name in the NBA Draft but ultimately decided to return to Xavier for his senior season. The Musketeers are a top-10 team in the country and will be counted on to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament Bluiett is one of the best scorers in the country and will be looking to lead Xavier to a national title. He is +2500 to win the college basketball player of the year award
