The school’s team has been undefeated all season, and they’re not showing any signs of slowing down. The students and faculty are all extremely proud of the team’s achievements, and they’re looking forward to cheering them on in the State Championships
The team’s amazing season so far
This has been one incredible season for the Columbus North Baseball team! They have worked hard all year and it has paid off – they are headed to the state championship!
The team’s success is due in large part to their strong pitching staff. Their ace, senior pitcher Nathan Brooks, has been nearly unhittable all season. He has an earned run average of just 1.02 and has struck out an amazing 109 batters in just 75 innings pitched The team’s closer, junior pitcher Jack Smith, has also been outstanding, posting a 0.95 ERA and picking up 12 saves.
The hitting has also been a big strength for this team. They are led by senior third baseman Evan Johnson, who is hitting a spectacular .400 with 6 home runs and 35 RBIs. The team’s speed on the basepaths has also been a big asset – they have stolen 83 bases so far this season.
This is a very talented team and they have worked extremely hard to get where they are today. We wish them the best of luck as they head into the state tournament!

Head Coach Tony Carlson, Assistant Coach Brad Elam, and pitching coach Joe Burcham have worked tirelessly to help the team reach its potential.
