Crowder Baseball is coming off a successful 2018 season in which the team made it all the way to the NJCAA World Series With a strong returning class and some talented newcomers, the 2019 team has the potential to be even better. Here is a look at the 2019 Crowder baseball roster

2019 Crowder Baseball Results
Crowder Baseball ended their regular season with a record of 32-22 overall and 15-15 in conference play They entered the Region XVI tournament as the fourth seed and won their first game against fifth-seededThree Rivers 12-2. They then went on to lose to top-seeded Meridian 9-1, putting them in the losers bracket. There, they won two games before ultimately falling to eventual tournament champions Holmes 7-3. The team finished the season with a 32-24 overall record and 15-17 conference record.
Pitcher Austin Bod batted .333 on the season with one home run and 20 RBIs. Lucas Tassin led the team in home runs (5), RBIs (38), and batting average (.444). Brandon Purcell was second on the team in batting average (.419) and led the team in stolen bases (31).
2019 Crowder Baseball Preview
Crowder enters the 2019 ranked No. 13 in the NJCAA poll, coming off a 56-12 season in 2018 that saw them win their fourth-straight conference title and advancing to the NJCAA Division I World Series for the second time in school history.
The Roughriders return eight position starters and six pitchers from last year’s team, including 2018 NJCAA All-American utility player Cole Sundell (.343/.434/.632, 10 HR, 54 RBI), who was also named the Region 16 Player of the Year.
On the mound, Crowder will be led by right-handers Dylan Coleman (5-2, 3.05 ERA) and Levi May (6-1, 4.05 ERA), who both earned all-conference honors last season.
The 2019 season will begin on February 1st with a three-game series at Iowa Western Community College

2019 Crowder baseball coaching Staff
Head Coach Troy Hankins (Missouri State) and Assistant Coach Tanner Buck (Neosho County Community College) are in their third season leading the Crowder College baseball program
Coach Hankins led the team to a 38-22 (.633) record and a Region 16 tournament appearance in his first season. In 2018, the Roughriders finished the regular season 28-28 but advanced to the NJCAA District O tournament for the first time in five years.
