What is NBA YB?
National Basketball Association YoungBoy, also known as NBA YoungBoy, is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is best known for his song “I Came Thru” and his mixtapes38 Baby and Realer.
NBA YB was born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden on October 20, 1999, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was raised by his mother, who worked long hours to support the family. In 2016, at the age of 16, NBA YB released his first mixtape, Life Before Fame. The mixtape included the single “I Came Thru,” which reached #43 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The success of the single helped launch NBA YB’s career, and he went on to release several more mixtapes over the next few years.
On January 3, 2019, NBA YB was shot and wounded in a drive-by shooting in Miami Gardens, Florida. He was rushed to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. NBA YB survived the shooting and was released from the hospital a few days later.
As of 2020, NBA YB is still alive and continues to release music.
