Early Life

Dillon Brooks was born in Mississauga, Ontario, on January 22, 1996, to parents Aaron and Karen Brooks. He has an older brother named Devin. When he was four years old, his family moved from Mississauga to Kendleton, Texas. While growing up in Kendleton, Dillon Brooks developed a passion for basketball. In elementary school, he would often play one-on-one against his older brother Devin. Eventually, Devin stopped playing against Dillon because Dillon defeated him every time.

Dillon’s fatherAaron played basketball semi-professionally and was also his coach when he played for the AAU team Houston Hoops. Under his father’s guidance, Dillon Brooks developed into a good player By the time he was in High School he had grown to six feet tall and had started to attract attention from college basketball coaches.

High School Career

Dillon Brooks attended Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada for his high school career. Considered a five-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Brooks was listed as the No. 11 small forward and the No. 48 player in the nation in 2014. He helped lead Findlay to a 29–1 record and the No. 1 ranking in the nation

College Career

Brooks played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks He was a key player on the team that reached the Final Four of the 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament

In his three seasons with Oregon, Brooks averaged 16.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game He was named the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017. Brooks was also a two-time Consensus All-American.

Professional Career

Dillon Brooks played College Basketball at the University of Oregon from 2014 to 2017. He was then selected by the Houston Rockets in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft with the 45th overall pick. Brooks was later traded to the Memphis Grizzlies where he made his Nba Debut in 2017. He has since played for the Grizzlies and is currently a member of the Indiana Pacers
