First, let’s start with the outline of the court. We’ll be using a rectangle for this. The length of the rectangle will be 94 feet, and the width will be 50 feet.

Next, we’ll add in the key and the three-point line The key is a rectangle that is 12 feet wide and 19 feet long and it is located at the center of the court. The Three-Point Line is a curved line that goes from one sideline to the other, and it is located 24 feet from the basket.

Finally, we’ll add in the baskets. Each basket is 10 feet tall and has a rim that is 18 inches wide. The baskets are located at each end of the court, and they are surrounded by a free throw circle.

Step One: The Base

The first step to drawing a basketball court is to draw the base. This is a rectangle that is slightly wider than it is tall. The base should be divided into two equal parts by a line running down the middle. At the top of the rectangle, draw a half circle. This is the backboard.

This is probably the most difficult part of drawing a basketball court but with a little practice, you should be able to get it. The key is simply a rectangle that is painted on the court. From here, measure out 14 feet to the left and right. Then, measure out 5 feet to the front and back. These are the dimensions of a regulation basketball key.

In this final step we will add the free throw line This line is located fifteen feet from the backboard, and is used for foul shots To draw the line, first make a small mark at the fifteen foot point on each side of the court. Next, use your ruler to connect these two marks with a straight line. Finally, add the hash marks on either side of the free throw line as shown in the picture.

Step Seven: The Three-Point Line

The three-point line is an important part of the game of basketball It is used to score points by shooting the ball from beyond the line. In order to score, the player must be behind the line when they shoot the ball. The three-point line is also used to create space on the court for other players.

Finishing Touches
