The team has made fifteen appearances in the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournamentand have won thirty-five Ohio Valley conference championships The Colonels have sent one hundred and eighteen players to the Major League Baseball draft, including seven who were first Round Selections
The Colonels are currently in their fifty-third season of play and are coached by iolani alii. The team plays its home games at EKU Sports Park which is located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.
