Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo, nicknamed the “Greek Freak”, is a Greek professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is 6 feet 11 inches (2.11 m) tall and plays power forward and point guard. He was drafted 15th overall in the 2013 NBA draft by the Bucks. In 2017, he was named an NBA All-Star and in 2018, he was named the NBA Most Valuable Player.

Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is a Serbian professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for the Serbian national team at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics. Standing at 7 ft 0 in (2.13 m), he plays the center position. Jokić was drafted by the Nuggets with the 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2015. In 2018, he was named an NBA All-Star for the first time and earned All-NBA Second Team honors.

During his second season, he began to receive regular playing time and emerged as one of Denver’s most important players; he led the team in win shares (WS) and value over replacement player (VORP) during that season. In 2017–18, his third season, Jokić became a starter for Denver and averaged career highs of 16.7 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block per game. He helped lead Denver to their first playoff berth since 2013, and was one of three Nuggets players to average a double-double in points and rebounds during the playoffs.

Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid is a 7-foot, 250-pound center from Cameroon who was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Embiid is a two-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2018. He has averaged 22.9 points, 11 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game in his four NBA seasons.

Rudy Gobert

Rudy Gobert is a French professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the French national team in the international competitions. Standing at 7 feet 1 inch (2.16 m), he plays at the center position. He was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019.

As the face of the Greek national basketball team, 20-year-old point guard Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the world. He’s a gifted scorer and passer with a high basketball IQ, and he has the ability to take over a game on both ends of the court. LeBron James

James is certainly one of the best basketball players ever, but his accomplishments with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers cannot be compared to Greek players.

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played two seasons of college basketball for the San Diego State Aztecs before being selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. Leonard spent his first four seasons with the Pacers, where he was a two-time NBA All-Star and named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team once. He was then traded to the San Antonio Spurs in 2015.

In his seven seasons with the Spurs, Leonard won an NBA championship in 2014 and was named Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year in 2015, and was a two-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA First Team member. He was also named to three NBA All-Defensive Teams. In 2018, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he spent one season before signing with the Clippers in 2019. Widely considered one of the best players in the league, Leonard is a five-time All-Star and has been named to five All-NBA Teams and four NBA All-Defensive Teams. He is also a two-time winner of both the Kia Defensive Player of the Year Award and Finals MVP.

Kevin Durant

No matter what team he plays for, Kevin Durant is always one of the best basketball players in the world. The 6-foot-10-inch small forward has averaged more than 25 points per game throughout his career, and he’s a two-time NBA Finals MVP. Durant also has an impressive international resume, winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2012 Olympics.

James Harden

James Harden is a shooting guard who played college basketball for Arizona State University. He was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the 2009 NBA draft. After two years with the Thunder, he was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2012. He became one of the league’s most prolific scorers and earned All-Star berths in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2017, he was named the NBA Most Valuable Player.

Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis is a professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted first overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2012 NBA draft. A six-time NBA All-Star, Davis was named to the All-NBA First Team three times and has been named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year once. He is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist as a member of the United States national team.
