He was named a Toronto Star All-Star in his senior year, and was also named MVP of the York Region Basketball Association He then went on to play NCAA Division 1 basketball at Brown University, where he was a starter for all four years.

He played college basketball for the University of British Columbia before being drafted by the Raptors in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft with the seventh overall pick.
Harold Yu was born on June 27, 1998, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His parents are both of Chinese descent. He has two older sisters. Yu began playing basketball when he was eight years old. He attended Lord Byng Secondary School, where he played high school basketball for the school’s team. In his senior year, he was named a McDonald’s All-Canadian.
After high school Yu attended the University of British Columbia, where he played college basketball for the school’s team, the UBC Thunderbirds. In his freshman year, he was named CIS Rookie of the Year after averaging 16 points and eight rebounds per game He was also named a First Team All-Canadian. In his sophomore year, he averaged 20 points and nine rebounds per game and was again named a First Team All-Canadian. After his sophomore year, he declared for the 2019 NBA Draft and was subsequently selected by the Toronto Raptors with the seventh overall pick.

He is currently attending St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada where he is majoring in business.
Harold began Playing basketball when he was eight years old. In his first year of High School basketball, Harold was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of his team. As a sophomore, he was selected to the All-Star team In his junior year, Harold was once again named MVP and led his team to the provincial Championship game where they lost to rival Kitsilano Secondary School.
Harold’s parents are originally from Hong Kong. His father played professional basketball in Hong Kong and his mother was a cheerleader for the national team Harold has two older sisters who also played basketball growing up. One of his sisters is currently attending the University of British Columbia and the other is attending Simon Fraser University
Harold’s dream is to play professional basketball in the NBA one day. He is working hard to make that dream a reality and we hope to see him playing in the NBA soon!

Harold attended UCLA on a Basketball Scholarship and he quickly established himself as one of the best players in the country. He was named an All-American his junior year, and he helped lead UCLA to the NCAA championship his senior year.
After graduation, Harold was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the NBA Draft He has since become one of the Warriors’ best players, and he is one of the most exciting young players in the NBA today

Harold Yu is a senior at Palo Alto high school and he has been playing Varsity Basketball for the past three years. He is 6’1” and he plays point guard Harold is an excellent shooter and he has a High Basketball IQ. He is a very unselfish player and he make his teammates better. Harold is also a good student and he has a 4.0 GPA. He plans to attend college next year and he wants to study business.
Harold has been recruited by several colleges, but he has not yet made a decision about where he will go. He is considering Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Harvard. Harold will make his decision later this month.
