The Hockey Day Minnesota Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to grow the game of hockey by providing financial assistance and support to Minnesota youth hockey programs, facilities and events with an emphasis on those serving underprivileged or underserved communities.
Hockey Day Minnesota (HDM) began in 2007 as a one-day event celebrating Minnesota’s great hockey heritage. The first HDM was held in Bemidji, MN and featured high school college and Junior varsity Games Played outdoors on Lake Bemidji. In subsequent years, the event has expanded to include additional community festivities and now spans three days. Hockey Day Minnesota 2021 will be held January 15-17 in Hermantown, MN.
How to Volunteer for Hockey Day Minnesota
Hockey Day Minnesota is a yearly event celebrating Minnesota’s great hockey heritage. It is always held on the third Saturday in January, and this year it will be on January 16th.
