82 Regular Season Games
Each NBA team plays 82 regular season games. 41 of those games are played at home, and 41 are played away. There are also 3-5 games played in each preseason.
Pre-Season Games
An NBA team plays 82 regular season games. They also play between 4 and 8 preseason games.
Playoff Games
In addition to the 82 regular season games, each team plays a further four preseason games. If a team makes it to the playoffs, they will play at least one more game. The first round of the playoffs is a best-of-seven series and all subsequent rounds are best-of-seven. Therefore, a team could play a maximum of 15 postseason games in one year.
NBA Finals
The NBA Finals is the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Eastern and Western conference champions play a best-of-seven game series to determine the league champion. The winning team of the series receives the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
