He made his main roster debut on the Smackdown brand in 2004. He won his first championship, the United States Championship, within a month of his debut. He went on to win the Intercontinental Championship twice and the World Tag Team Championship once. In 2010, he was released from WWE due to wellness policy violations. He returned to Puerto Rico and resumed wrestling for WWC. In 2014, he returned to WWE and has been appearing on NXT ever since.

WWE Debut

Carlito made his WWE debut in 2004, as a heel (bad guy). He was part of a tag team with his real-life brother, Primo. Together, they were known as the “inning brothers” and won the WWE Tag Team Championship.

World Heavyweight Championship

On November 21, Carlito defeated John Cena in a Tables match to become the WWE Champion, making him the first Puerto Rican born WWE Champion. He successfully defended his title against Kurt Angle at Armageddon. The following month, he again defeated Cena, this time in a steel cage match, to retain his title.

United States Championship

Carlito won his first major championship in the WWE when he defeated John Cena for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 21. He held the title for a little over two months before losing it to Orlando Jordan.

WWE Tag Team Championship

As of 2019, Carlito is 37 years old. He was born on February 21, 1982, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is currently signed to WWE and competes on the Raw brand. He is a former WWE United States Champion and a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Retirement

On February 21, 2010, it was announced that Carlito had been released from his WWE contract. In a statement released by WWE, they claimed that it was due to “unprofessional conduct and a recurring pattern of bad behavior”. It was rumored that his release was due to an argument with Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis, but this was never confirmed.

Carlito Wwe was born on Thursday, March 6, 1975, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is 45 years old and is a Pisces. Miguel Perez is a Puerto Rican Professional wrestler and actor better known by his ring name Carlito. He is signed with WWE where he performed on the SmackDown brand until his release from the company in 2010. He was later rehired in 2014 and assigned to WWE’s developmental territory NXT.

Perez made his wrestling debut in 1992 under the name “El Artists” before changing his name to “Carlito Caribbean Cool” four years later. In 2001, Perez began wrestling for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and won the World Heavyweight Championship once during his time with the promotion. When ECW closed in January 2001, Perez joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which was later renamed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Herrera was born and raised in New York City. His father, Carlos Colón Sr., is a former professional wrestler and promoter who is also known by his ring name, “Carlos Colon”. Herrera began wrestling in 1996 at the age of 17. In 2001, he took the name “Carlito” and won his first major championship, the Puerto Rican Heavyweight Championship, after defeating Apolo in San Juan.

He made his WWE debut in 2004, and won the United States Championship in 2005. He was released from WWE in 2010, but returned in 2013 and won the Intercontinental Championship. He left WWE again in 2014, but returned in 2017.

Carlito made his film debut in 2009 with a supporting role in the action-comedy Direct Contact. He followed that up with a role in the 2010 Nicolas Cage action movie, Season of the Witch. In 2012, Carlito starred alongside Danny Trejo and Missy Peregrym in the action movie Dead in Tombstone. He has also had roles in the TV series CSI: NY and Hawaii Five-0.

Born in Puerto Rico, Carlito is a former professional wrestler who became known for his time with WWE. He is the nephew of fellow WWE wrestler Miguel Perez, Sr., and he is also related to WWE Hall of Famer Carlos Colon.
