How to Draw a Baseball Helmet

Looking to add some extra flair to your baseball drawings? Why not try drawing a baseball helmet! In this blog post, we’ll show you how to draw a baseball helmet step by step. By the end, you’ll have a helmet that looks just like the ones worn by professional players!

Decide on the design of the baseball helmet.

There are two basic types of baseball helmets: the batting helmet, which is worn by batters and base runners and has earflaps to protect the wearer from errant pitches, and the catcher’s helmet, which has a facemask to protect the wearer from fouled balls and wild pitches. Choose the type of helmet you want to draw.

Once you have chosen the type of helmet, decide on the design. There are many different designs of baseball helmets, from simple solid-colored helmets to those adorned with team logos or player’s names. Decide on a design that you think will be fun to draw.

Sketch out the design of the baseball helmet.

Assuming you would like instructions on how to draw a baseball helmet:

1. Sketch out the design of the baseball helmet. You can do this freehand or trace a picture of a baseball helmet. If you trace, be sure to transfer your design onto drawing paper.

2. Draw an oval that will be the basis for the baseball helmet. This can be any size, but keep in mind that the finished product will be relative to the size of the oval. After drawing the oval, sketch a line down the middle to divide it in half.

3. At the top of the oval, draw two curved lines that intersect in the middle, forming a point. These will be the boundaries for the earholes.

4. Draw a curved line starting at each earhole and meeting in the middle of the oval at a point slightly above the center line. This will form the top edge of the visor.

5. Draw a series of vertical lines inside the oval to create a crosshatching effect. These lines can be close together or further apart, depending on your preference. Start with light pencil strokes so that you can erase them later if necessary.

6. Erase any guidelines that are no longer necessary, and darken your pencil strokes to finish your drawing

Draw the baseball helmet according to the sketch.

1. Sketch out the general shape of the baseball helmet.

2. Flatten the top and bottom of the helmet to give it a more realistic shape.

3. Draw the straps coming off from the back of the helmet.

6. Erase any guidelines and extra lines from your drawing.
