Is WWE 2K22 Coming to Nintendo Switch?

We’re not sure if WWE 2K22 is coming to Nintendo Switch, but we sure hope so! Here’s why we think it would be a great fit for the console.

Introduction

As of right now, there is no indication that WWE 2K22 is in development for the Nintendo Switch. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the game will never come to the platform.

WWE 2K21 was not released on the Switch, but WWE 2K20 was. So it’s possible that 2K could skip a year and then release WWE 2K23 on the Switch in 2022. Or, they could decide to release WWE 2K22 on other platforms first and then port it over to the Switch at a later date.

Only time will tell if WWE 2K22 ends up coming to the Nintendo Switch. So far, there’s no reason to believe that it will, but anything is possible.

What is WWE 2K22?

WWE 2K22 is an upcoming professional wrestling video game that is currently being developed by Visual Concepts and is published by 2K Sports. It will be the twenty-third installment in the WWE 2K series, serving as the sequel to WWE 2K21. It is scheduled to be released in October 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

WWE 2K22 on Nintendo Switch

WWE 2K22 is not currently scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, according to a 2K representative.

When asked for comment on whether WWE 2K22 was coming to Switch, a 2K representative provided the following statement to Kotaku:

“2K does not have any plans to release WWE 2K22 on Nintendo Switch.”

This does not necessarily mean that WWE 2K22 will never come to Switch—only that it is not currently scheduled for release on the platform. The last WWE game to come to Switch was WWE 2K19, which was released in October 2018.

Conclusion

We can not find any evidence that WWE 2K22 is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch. However, this does not mean that the game will not be released on the Switch in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this article if any new information becomes available.
