The Las Lomas High School baseball team has been having an outstanding season. With a current record of 7-1 in league play and 12-3 overall, the team is poised to make a run at the playoffs.

Head coach Tim Dickson is in his sixth year at the helm of the program, and he has instilled a culture of hard work and excellence in his players. The team’s success is a result of the hard work that Coach Dickson and his players have put in.

The Las Lomas Baseball Team is a force to be reckoned with, and they are definitely a team to watch this season.

History

Las Lomas high school is located in Walnut Creek, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area The school’s baseball team has a long and successful history, dating back to its founding in the early 1900s. The team has won numerous league and tournament championships, and has produced several Major League Baseball players. Las Lomas is widely considered to be one of the best high school baseball programs in the country.

The Las Lomas high school Varsity baseball team has an impressive record so far this season. They have won 9 games and lost 1, with their only loss coming against De La Salle in a close game The team is currently ranked second in the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) behind San Ramon Valley, who they have already beaten once this season.

The team’s success is due in large part to their strong pitching staff. Their top pitcher, senior Nick Morreale, has a 9-1 record and an ERA of 2.08. He has been named the EBAL Pitcher of the Year in each of the last two seasons. The team’s other top pitchers are junior Ryan McLaughlin (6-0, 2.70 ERA) and sophomore Cole Wiley (3-0, 1.91 ERA).

The team’s bats have also been alive this season. They are averaging 6.9 runs per game, led by senior first baseman Matt Blume (.419 batting average 4 home runs 19 RBIs) and junior outfielder Tyler Pauletti (.383 batting average 3 home runs 16 RBIs).

The Las Lomas Varsity Baseball Team has nine more regular season games before the EBAL playoffs begin on May 11th. They will be a team to watch in the playoffs as they look to make a run at the league title.

Results

The Las Lomas Varsity Baseball team had an excellent regular season posting a record of 27-1. The team’s only loss came against Campolindo in the final game of the Regular Season The team’s success can be attributed to its deep roster and its ability to come from behind in games.

The team entered the playoffs as the top seed in the North Bay League and cruised to victories in its first two games. In the quarterfinals, the team faced off against De La Salle, a team it had lost to earlier in the season. Las Lomas was down 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning but rallied to score four runs and win the game 5-3.

In the semifinals, Las Lomas faced off against Campolindo, the team that had handed them their only loss of the season. Las Lomas won 5-2, avenging their earlier loss and setting up a rematch with De La Salle in the Championship game

In the Championship game Las Lomas jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating De La Salle 8-3 to claim the North Bay League title. The team’s outstanding play this season has led many to believe that they are a strong contender for the state championship

In their last game against Campolindo, Las Lomas came out on top with a score of 5-1. Senior pitcher Matt Murphy had an impressive day, striking out 10 batters and only allowing one run.

In their game against Acalanes, the Knights won 9-2. Sophomore Jake Ruff was 3-for-4 at the plate, and senior Nate Martinez pitched a complete game, giving up only two runs.

The Knights have also had some great offensive performances recently. In their game against Miramonte, junior Ryan Hall went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and senior Matt Murphy had a home run
