Loons release Baseball Schedule for 2018
The Loons have released their baseball schedule for the 2018 season. The Loons will play their home opener on April 12 against the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
What’s new for the Loons in 2018?
The Loons Baseball schedule has been released and there are a few changes from last year. The most notable difference is that the team will now be playing all of their home games at Dow Diamond. Previously, some home games were played at Siebert Field on the campus of the University of Minnesota
The 2018 season starts on Thursday, April 5th with a road game against the Beloit Snappers. The home opener is scheduled for Friday, April 13th against the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
As in previous years, the Loons will be playing a majority of their games against teams in the Midwest League’s Eastern Division. Their opponents include the Dayton Dragons Great Lakes Loons Lansing Lugnuts, Lake County Captains, West Michigan Whitecaps and Fort Wayne TinCaps.
Highlights of the 2018 season include:
-May 18-20: Home series vs. defending MWL champions Bowling Green Hot Rods
-June 22-24: Home series vs. crosstown rival St. Paul Saints
-July 3-4: Home series vs. Beloit Snappers featuring post-game fireworks

The Loons will travel to take on the South Bend Cubs on Tuesday, June 25th for their first game of the 2019 season. The Loons will play a total of 120 games in the regular season with 60 of those games being played at home in Midland, Michigan.
