Introducing the Lssu Hockey Roster

We are excited to introduce the Lssu Hockey Roster for the upcoming season This talented group of young men will be representing our school with pride and passion on the ice. We wish them all the best of luck as they embark on this journey together.

Forwards:

Dylan Larkin – A skilled and gifted offensive player Dylan is a huge reason why we are so excited for the upcoming season He has a incredible ability to create scoring chances for himself and his teammates. We are confident that he will be a big contributor to our team’s success.

Patrick Kane – A dangerous offensive threat, Patrick is a extremely talented player with a great shot and fantastic vision. He has the ability to take over games and we are expecting him to be one of our top scorers this season.

Artemi Panarin – A skilled playmaker, Artemi has superb puck handling ability and always seems to make the right play with the puck. He is also a very good two-way player and we rely on him to help us both offensively and defensively.

Forwards

Forwards are the players who skate up and down the ice, trying to control the puck and score goals Forwards must be fast and agile, able to think quickly, and pass well. There are three main types of forwards: left wing, right wing, and center.

Left wing: A left wing is typically the second-highest scoring forward on the team. The left wing is responsible for covering the left side of the ice.Left wings must be able to shoot with their right hand and pass with their left hand.

Right wing: A right wing is typically the highest-scoring forward on the team. The right wing is responsible for covering the right side of the ice. Right wings must be able to shoot with their left hand and pass with their right hand.

Center: Centers are usually responsible for face-offs, Playing Defense against the other team’s forwards, and setting up plays for their own team’s forwards. They must be able to shoot with either hand and have good passing skills.

Defensemen

Defensemen (or ‘D’) are the backbone of any competitive Hockey Team They’re responsible for stopping the other team from scoring, and they often contribute to the offense as well. A good defenseman is someone who is big and strong, with good skating ability and a high hockey IQ.

There are typically six defensemen on a Hockey Team divided into two groups: the top four and the bottom two. The top four play the majority of the game, while the bottom two defensemen see less ice time. In some cases, three defensemen will play together, while in others, one defenseman will play with two forwards (this is known as a ‘defensive pairing’).

The Captains also have the important job of communicating with the Coaching Staff and making sure that everyone on the team is on the same page.
