The Michigan Field hockey Roster is Here! The Field Hockey team at the University of Michigan is set to begin their season and they have released their roster. Check it out to see who will be representing the Wolverines this year!
The Michigan Field Hockey Team
The Michigan Field Hockey Team is a Division I College Field Hockey team that represents the University of Michigan in the Big Ten Conference. The team is currently coached by Megan Flynn and plays its home games at Ocker Field in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The team competes in the conference tournament to determine the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship

The University of Michigan’s much-anticipated Field Hockey schedule was released on Wednesday morning, with the Wolverines set to take on seven NCAA tournament teams from a year ago.
Highlighting the slate are home games against Big Ten foes Northwestern (Sept. 29), Ohio State (Oct. 13) and Penn State (Nov. 3), as well as a road contest at Maryland (Oct. 20). The Terps are the defending National Champions and defeated the Wolverines in last year’s Big Ten Tournament title game, 3-2 in overtime.

The University of Michigan women’s field hockey team is set to take on their conference rivals in the Big Ten Tournament this week. The tournament will be held at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. The top four teams in the conference will compete in the tournament. Michigan is seeded fourth overall and will take on the top-seeded team, Ohio State in the first round. The game is set to take place on Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 AM EST.

The Wolverines are currently in sixth place in the Big Ten with a record of 3-4.

Under Head Coach Marcia Pankratz, the Michigan Wolverines Field Hockey team has appeared in three NCAA tournaments and one Big Ten Conference tournament. The team’s overall record is 227-188-9.
Pankratz was hired in May 2006 to replace Nancy Cox, who led the program for 27 seasons. Pankratz was an Assistant Coach at Northwestern from 1999 to 2005, helping the Wildcats to four NCAA Tournament appearances and two Big Ten Conference titles.
In her first season at Michigan, Pankratz led the Wolverines to a 12-9 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the Big Ten conference Michigan finished second in the conference behind only Ohio State who went on to win the NCAA National Championship The Wolverines earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they fell to Wake Forest in the first round.
The following year, Michigan finished with a 13-10 overall record and a 4-4 mark in conference play The Wolverines again earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament but this time they were ousted in the first round by Dartmouth.
In 2008, Michigan posted a 9-13 overall record and a 3-5 mark in conference play The Wolverines did not earn a bid to either the NCAA tournament or the Big Ten conference tournament
The 2009 season saw Michigan improve to 11-11 overall and 5-3 in conference play. The Wolverines qualified for the Big Ten Conference Tournament but they were defeated by Iowa in the semifinals. Iowa went on to win the NCAA National Championship
In 2010, Michigan posted an 11-11 overall record and a 6-2 mark in conference play. The Wolverines qualified for the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team, but they were defeated by Wake Forest in the Opening Round

The Michigan Field Hockey Coaches
The Michigan field hockey Coaches are pleased to announce the 2019 Field Hockey roster. We are excited to have such a talented and committed group of young women representing the University of Michigan This year’s team features 12 returning letterwinners and 11 newcomers. The student-athletes hail from eight different states, with New Jersey (5) and Pennsylvania (4) being the most represented.

The Michigan Field Hockey Alumni is a list of former Michigan Field Hockey Players The program was founded in 1974 and has since produced many successful professionals. The program has also seen many of its players go on to play at the collegiate level and beyond.

The Michigan Field Hockey Team has announced its 2019 roster. This season will see a mix of old and new faces, as the team looks to build on last year’s success.
Headlining the list of returnees is senior midfielder Abby D’Angelo, who was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2018. She will be joined by fellow seniors Lauren Lappin and Zoe Stiles, who were both All-Big Ten selections last season.
The junior class is also well represented, with goalkeeper Sam Skinner, forward Claire Fairfield, and midfielder/forward Lillian Eby all returning for their third seasons.
Rounding out the roster are a group of talented freshmen: forward/midfielder Olivia Tillotson, midfielder/forward Emily Maemura, defender Kennedy Quigley, and goalkeeper Sophie O’Donnell.
With a mix of experience and youth, the team is poised for another successful season Go Blue!
