Introduction
Tryouts for the Midland baseball team will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 9:00 am at the Midland Field. All interested players must attend tryouts.
What to expect
The Midland Baseball Team is getting ready for their upcoming season and tryouts are right around the corner. Here’s what you can expect if you’re thinking about trying out for the team.
First and foremost, you should know that the tryout process is very competitive. There are usually a lot of people who want to make the team so you’ll need to be at the top of your game if you want to be one of the lucky few who gets a spot.
The tryouts will consist of a series of drills and scrimmages designed to test your skills. The coaches will be looking for things like speed, arm strength fielding ability, and hitting power. If you can show that you’re good at all of these things, you’ll have a much better chance of making the team.
There’s no need to be nervous – just go out there and do your best. The coaches are looking for players who have the potential to help the team win, so as long as you give it your all, you’ll have a shot at making the squad.
What to bring
Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a rookie just starting out, there are a few things you should bring to baseball tryouts In order to show that you’re serious about playing and to give yourself the best chance at making the team, it’s important to be prepared.
The most important thing to remember is to bring your glove. This may seem like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised how many people forget this essential piece of equipment. If you don’t have a glove, most teams will have some that you can borrow, but it’s always better to have your own.
In addition to your glove, make sure to bring a bat and a helmet. Again, the team may have extras that you can use, but it’s always best to have your own gear. If you don’t have a bat or helmet, try to borrow one from a friend or family member.
You should also wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in easily. Baseball is a very active sport, so it’s important to be able to move freely. Wearing loose-fitting clothing will also help you stay cool in the hot summer sun.
Finally, don’t forget to bring plenty of water and snacks. Tryouts can be long and tiring, so it’s important to stay hydrated and fueled up throughout the day.
How to prepare

First, ensure that your child is physically ready by having them under go a pre-participation physical examination (PPE). A PPE is a “general assessment of an athlete’s medical history and current health status” and can be done by your family physician or at the hospital.
Next, make sure your child is rested and has eaten a nutritious meal before tryouts. Tryouts can be very tiring and demanding, so it’s important that they have the energy to give it their all. A healthy meal will also help improve their focus and concentration.
Finally, Encourage your child to do some light stretching and warm up exercises prior to tryouts. This will help prevent any injuries and get their muscles loose and ready for action.
Good luck to all the athletes trying out!
