The history of Nepa Elite Basketball

Nepa Elite Basketball was founded in 2006 by a group of passionate Basketball Coaches who saw the need for a higher level of competition for the youth in northeast Pennsylvania. The founders of Nepa Elite Basketball believed that by providing a platform for the top athletes in the area to compete against each other, they would not only improve their skills but also prepare them for the next level of competition.

The first few years of Nepa Elite Basketball were spent building a strong foundation for the organization. The founders recruited some of the top coaches in the area to join their staff and began holding tryouts for their teams. During this time, Nepa Elite Basketball also began to build relationships with local businesses and organizations that would later become key partners in supporting the growth of the organization.

In 2010, Nepa Elite Basketball took its first major step forward when it became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization This allowed the organization to raise funds to support its programs and also opened up new opportunities for grant funding and corporate sponsorships.

Over the past decade, Nepa Elite Basketball has grown tremendously. From its humble beginnings with just a few teams, Nepa Elite Basketball now fields over 50 teams at all levels from elementary to High School The organization has also expanded its reach beyond northeast Pennsylvania and now serves athletes from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

The Nepa Elite Basketball Schedule consists of games and practices that take place on weeknights and weekends throughout the year. We offer two seasons (fall and winter), as well as clinics and camps during the summer months.

Nepa Elite Basketball is a youth basketball organization that has been in operation since 2006. We are based in Northeast Pennsylvania and serve the following counties: Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike, and Monroe. We are a non-profit organization and our mission is to provide a positive, competitive, and safe environment for young athletes to learn and play the game of basketball.

We offer two levels of play – our Elite level for more experienced/competitive players and our Developmental level for players who are newer to the game or who want to focus on learning and developing their skills. Both levels compete in tournaments throughout the year against teams from all over Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The cost of playing for Nepa Elite Basketball varies depending on which level you choose to play at. Our Elite level has a higher fee because it covers the costs of things like entry fees for tournaments and travel expenses for away games. The Developmental level has a lower fee because we do not have as many expenses associated with it.

We believe that Youth Basketball should be affordable for everyone and we offer payment plans to make it easier for families to pay for their child’s participation. We also offer discounts for families with multiple children playing in our program.

How to join Nepa Elite Basketball

Here at Nepa Elite Basketball, we are always looking for talented and motivated young athletes to join our team. If you are interested in joining us, there are a few things you need to know.

First and foremost, we require all of our players to be committed to both their academics and their athletics. We believe that a good education is the foundation for success in life, so we expect our players to maintain a high level of academic achievement. Likewise, we expect our players to be dedicated to their craft and to constantly strive to improve their skills on the court.

In terms of tryouts, we hold open tryouts for all positions at the beginning of each season. During tryouts, we evaluate each player on their ability to perform the basic basketball skills (dribbling, shooting, etc.), as well as their understanding of the game and ability to play as part of a team. All players who make the team will be expected to attend regular practices and games.
