Burns, who is in his 12th NHL season has already set a career-high with 67 points in 71 games. Klingberg, who is in his seventh season, has 65 points in 69 games.
Karlsson, who is in his 10th NHL season has 72 points in 71 games. He is currently the only defenseman averaging more than a point per game this season.
Zach Werenski, Tyson Barrie, and Roman Josi round out the top five
With the NHL regular season now complete, we take a look at the top five scoring leaders among defensemen for the 2019-20 campaign. Coming in at number five is Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators who put up 65 points in 69 games played
Tied for third are Tyson Barrie of the Colorado Avalanche and Zach Werenski of the Columbus Blue Jackets who both racked up 68 points on the season. Barrie appeared in 71 games while Werenski played in all 82.
