Derek Jeter – Guard
Derek is a senior guard for Northgate who has a passion for the game of basketball He loves to push the pace of play and get his teammates involved in the offense. Derek is a knockdown shooter from behind the arc and is also a solid defender.

Josh Johnson – Forward
Josh is a junior forward who is one of the team’s best rebounders. He has a nose for the ball and is always hustling after loose balls. On offense, Josh is a threat in the post with his ability to finish around the basket.

Sarah Smith – Guard
Sarah is a sophomore guard who is one of the quickest players on the team. She loves to pressure opposing ball-handlers and use her speed to create turnovers. Sarah is also an excellent shooter from long range.

In this installment of our series on the Northgate basketball team and their upcoming season we’ll be taking a look at some of their opponents. As always, we’ll be starting with a brief overview of the team, followed by a more in-depth look at specific players and aspects of their game.

The first team on the schedule is the Elmwood Park Panthers. They’re a tough team, but the Northgate players are confident they can come out on top. The Panthers are led by point guard Mario Gomez, who is known for his quickness and shooting prowess. Center Jorge Rodriguez is another player to watch out for; he’s a big presence in the paint and difficult to stop once he gets going.

Next up are the Riverdale Chargers. The Chargers are always a tough opponent, but Northgate is ready for them this year.
