Oakton Baseball is a local organization that has been providing recreational and competitive baseball opportunities for players of all ages and abilities since 2001. We offer programs for players as young as 4 years old all the way up to adults, with something for everyone in between. Our mission is to provide a positive, fun, and safe environment for our participants to enjoy the great game of baseball.

The History of Oakton Baseball

Oakton baseball has a long and storied history. The league was founded in the late 1800s and has been home to many Great players over the years. The league is currently made up of four teams: the Oakton Owls, the Lakeview Lakers, the Northside Cubs, and the Southside Sox. Each team plays two games per week, with the exception of the Owls who play three.

The Owls are the most successful team in the history of Oakton baseball, winning 21 championships since the league’s inception. The Lakers have won 9 championships, while the Cubs and Sox have each won 3. The most recent championship was won by the Oakton Owls in 2019.

Oakton Baseball is a recreational league for Boys and Girls ages 4-16. It is the oldest running baseball league in Oakton, Virginia.

The league consists of four divisions: T-Ball (4-6 years old), Rookie (7-8 years old), Minor (9-10 years old), and Major (11-16 years old).

Each division plays a regular season of 10 games, with a double header on Saturdays. The top four teams in each division make the playoffs. The playoff format is single elimination until the Championship game which is a best of three series.

Oakton Baseball has been around since 1957 and has seen many great players come through its ranks. Some have even gone on to play professional baseball!

Oakton Baseball has been a part of the community for over 50 years, and we’re not going anywhere. We’re committed to providing a league for the youth of our community to learn and compete in the sport of baseball.

Looking to the future, we hope to expand our program to include more teams and divisions so that even more kids can have the opportunity to play baseball Our goal is to provide a positive experience for all participants, whether they’re Playing competitively or just for fun.

We also hope to continue our tradition of giving back to the community by donating our time and resources to local youth organizations. Our ultimate goal is to create a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community.
