The Pace Academy basketball program The Coaches

Pace Academy’s success on the basketball court is due in large part to the dedication, commitment, and expertise of its coaches. Head Coach Charlie Miller has been with the program since its inception in 2006. He has led the team to five conference championships and three State Championships In addition to his work with the basketball team Coach Miller also teaches physical education and health at Pace.

Assistant Coach Mike Jones joined the program in 2008. He played college basketball at the University of Georgia and has been a huge asset to the team, helping them win two conference championships and one state championship

Rounding out the Coaching Staff is strength and Conditioning Coach Larry Houston, who has been with the program since 2010. Under his guidance, the team has won three conference championships and two state championships

The Pace Academy coaching staff is one of the most experienced and successful in the state of Georgia. They have a passion for teaching the game of basketball and for helping their players reach their full potential both on and off the court.

The program is made up of two teams, the varsity and Junior varsity which both compete in the GHSA. The Pace Academy Basketball Program has a rich tradition of success, winning numerous State Championships and producing many Division I and Professional Basketball Players

The Pace Academy basketball program is a developmental Basketball Program for middle school and high school students. The program is designed to prepare student-athletes for success on and off the court.

2. Who is eligible to participate in the Pace Academy Basketball Program?

The program is open to any student-athlete who meets the following criteria:

– Is enrolled in or has graduated from an accredited middle school or high school
– Is between the ages of 13 and 18;
– Is a US citizen or legal resident; and
– Has not been convicted of a felony.

3. How long does the Pace Academy Basketball program last?

The program lasts for one academic year (August 1st – May 31st). However, student-athletes may participate in additional training and development activities during the summer months.
