How to Make a Puppet Ice Hockey Pond Head

It’s winter time and what better way to enjoy the cold weather than by playing some ice hockey! But you can’t play Ice Hockey without a proper puck. In this blog post, we’ll show you how to make a puppet Ice hockey pond head so you can enjoy the game even more!

Introduction

This guide will show you how to make an ice hockey pond head, a type of puppet that is often used in performances and movies. This particular design is based on the popular character “Pond Head” from the movie “The Mighty Ducks”.

First, you will need to gather the following supplies:

-A styrofoam head
-A sharp knife
-A hot glue gun and glue sticks
-A black felt-tip pen
-A white paintbrush
-Some white acrylic paint
-Some black acrylic paint
-Some blue acrylic paint
-A photocopy or printout of the “Pond Head” character (optional)

Once you have all of your supplies, follow these steps to create your own Pond Head ice hockey puppet:

What You’ll Need

-A cardboard box
-A large plastic sheet or tarp
-Scissors
-Tape
-Markers or paint
-Construction paper
-Glue
-String or yarn
-Popsicle sticks
– ping pong balls

Making the Pond Head

To make the pond head, you will need:
-A styrofoam head
--ice hockey helmet
-A can of black spray paint
-A hot glue gun and glue sticks
-About two feet of black elastic
-A black felt-tip pen
-X-ACTO knife

1. Cut a circular opening in the styrofoam head using the X-ACTO knife. The opening should be large enough to fit your Ice hockey helmet snugly.
2. Paint the inside and outside of the styrofoam head with black spray paint Let the paint dry completely before proceeding to the next step.
3. Cut a small hole in the back of the styrofoam head using the X-ACTO knife. This hole is where you will thread the elastic through later.
4. Put on the ice hockey helmet and secure it with the straps. Make sure that the helmet is tight against your head so that it doesn’t move around while you’re wearing it.
5. Carefully take off the ice hockey helmet and put it on top of the styrofoam head. Use hot glue to attach the helmet to the styrofoam head, being careful not to get any glue on your skin or clothes.
6. Once the glue has dried, put on the Ice Hockey helmet again and use the black felt-tip pen to draw a line around your eyes where you want them to be visible through the eyeholes of the mask. 7. Carefully remove the ice hockey helmet and use scissors or an X-ACTO knife to cut out two eyeholes along your marked lines. Try not to make them too big or too small – you want them just big enough so that you can see out of them comfortably without having too much light coming in from around them

Making the ice hockey Rink

In this instructable I will show you how to make an ice Hockey Rink for your puppet theatre. It is a fair bit of work, but it will be worth it when your audience can see the action close up and hear the players skating across the “ice”.

First you will need to make a large rectangle out of cardboard. I used an old appliance box. You could also use a poster board or something similar. The size of the rectangle will depend on the size of your puppet theatre and the size of your puppets. My cardboard rectangle was about 4 feet by 3 feet (1.2 meters by 0.9 meters).

Next, you need to cover the entire surface of your cardboard rectangle with aluminum foil. Be sure to smooth out any wrinkles or creases in the foil so that the “ice” is as smooth as possible.

Now it’s time to start painting! You will need to paint the entire surface of the aluminum foil with white paint. I used acrylic paint, but you could also use latex paint or even spray paint if you prefer. Let the first coat of paint dry completely before adding a second coat. Once the second coat is dry, you can add some blue paint to give the “ice” a more realistic appearance. Again, let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Making the Hockey Players

Now that you have all of your materials, it’s time to start making your hockey players! Cut two small circles out of the black foam for the base of each player. These will be glued to the bottom of the white Styrofoam balls.

Paint the popsicle sticks black and glue them to the back of the black foam circles. Make sure that the sticks are pointing straight up!

Now you can start decorating your players! Glue on some Googly eyes and use a Sharpie to draw on a mouth and hockey stick You can get creative and add other details like stripes on the arms or a logo for your favorite team

Let your players dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Playing the Game

Puppet ice hockey is a great game for kids of all ages. It can be played with a variety of different puppets, and it’s a lot of fun. Here’s how to make your own puppet ice hockey pond head.

First, you’ll need a few supplies. You’ll need two plastic buckets, some blue and white felt, some pipe cleaners, some googly eyes, and some glue. You can also use markers or paint to decorate your pond head if you like.

To start, cut a hole in the bottom of one of the buckets. This will be the mouth of your pond head. Then, cut a smaller hole in the middle of the other bucket. This will be the nose of your pond head.

Next, cut a slit down the side of each bucket. These will be the eye holes for your puppets. Then, cut two small circles out of the blue felt. These will be the pupils for your puppet’s eyes. Glue the pupils onto the eye holes.”

Now, it’s time to decorate your puppet! You can use markers or paint to add details like eyebrows, mustaches, or lips. You can also glue on googly eyes or pipe cleaners for hair.”

Once you’re finished decorating, put your puppets into their respective bucket heads and you’re ready to play!

Conclusion

In conclusion, making a puppet Ice Hockey pond head is not difficult. With a little time and effort, you can create a unique and fun puppet that will bring enjoyment to both you and your child.
