The first commit is 6-foot-9-inch center Matt Haarms, who is from the Netherlands and played last season at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas.
The second commit is 6-foot-4-inch shooting guard Sasha Stefanovic who is from Crown Point Indiana. Stefanovic was a huge get for the Boilers, as he was also being recruited by in-state rival Indiana.
The third and final commit is 6-foot-7-inch small forward Aaron Wheeler, who is from Chicago, Illinois. Wheeler originally committed to play basketball at Marquette before decommitting and choosing Purdue.
Why these three players chose Purdue
Purdue Basketball has landed three high-profile commits in the last month, and all three hail from different parts of the country.
Tyler Trent, a 6-foot-5 guard from Indianapolis, is a skilled shooter who has the ability to put up points in a hurry. He chose Purdue because of the program’s rich tradition and the chance to play for a legendary coach like Matt Painter
Isaac Haas, a 7-foot-2 center from Hokes Bluff, Alabama, is one of the best big men in the country. He chose Purdue because he feels it’s the best place for him to develop his game and prepare for a professional career.

How these three players fit into Purdue’s system
With just a few weeks left until the Early Signing Period Purdue has added three more pieces to their 2020 recruiting class
Point guard Isaiah Thompson is the highest-rated commit, coming in at #48 in the ESPN 100. He’s a 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo guard who can really score the basketball. He’s an excellent shooter from deep, and he has a tight handle that allows him to get by defenders and create his own shot. He’s also a good passer and should be able to run the offense when he’s on the court.
shooting guard Jaden Ivey is a 6-foot-5, 195-pound wing who is a very good shooter and has a high motor. He’s not the most athletic player, but he knows how to play and should be able to contribute right away. Ivey is ranked #77 in the ESPN 100.
Small forward Trey Kaufman is a 6-foot-7, 220-pound stretch four who can really shoot the ball. He needs to add some weight and strength, but he has a lot of potential. Kaufman is ranked #85 in the ESPN 100.
What kind of impact these three players can have
