The team’s first game was against rival school SHS, and they won handily. This bodes well for the rest of the season, as they face off against other teams in the state.

The St. Croix high school baseball team is a team to watch this season. The team is led by a group of talented and experienced players who are looking to make a run at the State Championships Here are some of the players to watch on the team:
-Senior pitcher Jake Mitchell is the ace of the pitching staff. He has a live arm and good control of his pitches. Mitchell is a hard worker on and off the field, and he is a leader for his teammates.
-Senior catcher Alex Rodriguez is one of the best defensive catchers in the state. He has a strong arm and he is quick to react to balls in the dirt. Rodriguez is also a very good hitter, and he will be batting cleanup for the team this season.
-Junior infielder/outfielder Matt Johnson is a versatile player who can play all over the field. Johnson is a good hitter with power, and he also has strong base-running skills. He will be one of the team’s top run producers this season.
-Sophomore pitcher Sean Ryan is one of the most promising young pitchers in the state. Ryan has a great arm and good control of his pitches. He is expected to be one of the top pitchers on the staff this season.

The South Central high school (SCHS) baseball team has been having an excellent season thus far. As of May 8th, they have a record of eleven wins and two losses. This puts them in second place in Conference 5A, only behind crosstown rival Franklin high school
One of the reasons for the team’s success has been the strong pitching of Junior Nate Masters. Masters has a record of four wins and no losses, with an ERA of only 1.17. He has been named Conference 5A Pitcher of the Week twice so far this season.
The team’s offense has also been clicking lately. In their last five games, they have scored a total of fifty-one runs. This includes an eighteen-run outburst against conference bottom-dweller Owensboro high school
With the playoffs just around the corner, the SCHS baseball team looks like one to watch out for.
