Gameplay
Super Mega Baseball 2 offers very intuitive controls that make it easy to step right in and play, but also provides the depth to allow players to change nearly every aspect of their game and batting order to match their play style.
There are a few things that are important to understand before diving in. The first is that the game uses a geometrical hitting system, which means that where you aim your swing matters just as much as how hard you swing. The second is that pitchers have “stamina” which depletes as they throw more pitches, and affects both the speed and accuracy of their pitches. And finally, base runners can “steal” by holding down a button while running to attempt to advance to the next base before the catcher can throw them out.

Pitching in Super Mega Baseball 2 can be done with a keyboard and mouse or with a controller, but we recommend using a controller for the best experience. To pitch with a controller, first select your pitch type by pressing up or down on the d-pad. You can then choose your location by moving the left analog stick up or down and left or right. Finally, press A to throw the ball.
Hitting
Hitting in Super Mega Baseball 2 can be performed using a number of different control setups, including the classic three-button setup, a new two-button setup, or a special swing mode setup that allows for more control over the direction and power of your swings. No matter which setup you choose, you’ll be able to hit the ball with ease.
To begin swinging, simply press and hold the “Swing” button. The longer you hold the button, the harder you’ll swing. You can also add power to your swings by tapping the “Run” button just before you make contact with the ball. If timed correctly, this will cause your player to take a big cut at the ball and send it flying.
If you’re using the three-button setup, you’ll also be able to control the direction of your swings by pressing left or right on the directional pad just before you make contact with the ball. This will cause your player to pull the ball in that direction.
And that’s all there is to hitting in Super Mega Baseball 2! With a little practice, you’ll be mashing home runs all over the field in no time.
Fielding
In Super Mega Baseball 2, there are a variety of ways you can field the ball. You can use the left joystick to control your fielder, and the A button to dive. You can also use the B button to jump, and the X button to change players. The Y button will throw the ball to the player closest to the baserunner, and the RB button will throw to the cut-off man.
Base-Running
Super Mega Baseball 2 offers a simple and effective base-running setup that gives you full control over your runners without feeling overwhelmed.
To lead off a runner, hold down the left bumper (LB) and use the left stick to control the direction your runner is headed. As you approach a base, release the left bumper to have your runner dive towards the bag. You can dive into first base from anywhere on the diamond.
To steal a base, hold down the right bumper (RB) as you approach the next base. Your runner will automatically take off for the next base as soon as they reach the halfway point between bases. You can also trigger a steal by holding down RB and pressing X/A (PC/Xbox One/PS4), or by double tapping RB.
Once a runner is on base, you can advance them by holding down A/X (PC/Xbox One/PS4) while controlling their direction with the left stick. You can also hold down RT/R2 (PC/Xbox One/PS4) to make your runner run through any stop signs your coach may have put up. Be careful when doing this, as your runner will be more likely to get thrown out if they’re going too fast.
Conclusion
Super Mega Baseball 2 is a great game that simulates the sport of baseball. The controls are very user-friendly and the game is extremely easy to pick up and play. However, there are a few issues with the game that need to be addressed. Overall, Super Mega Baseball 2 is a great game that any baseball fan will enjoy.
