The Swartz Creek Youth Baseball philosophy
At Swartz Creek youth baseball we believe in having fun, developing skills and teamwork. We are a recreational league that provides an opportunity for children to play baseball in a safe and positive environment. Our goal is to develop character, promote sportsmanship and foster a love of the game in every child who plays.
We offer several different divisions of play, so that every child can find a place to fit in and have fun. Our divisions are:
-T-Ball: For children ages 4-6, this division emphasizes learning the basic rules and skills of the game, while having fun. Players will hit off a tee and learn to field the ball. Games are played on a smaller field with fewer players.
--minor league For children ages 7-9, this division focuses on refining the skills learned in T-Ball, while introducing new concepts such as stealing bases and pitching. Games are played on a regulation size little league field with 9 players on each team.
--Major League For children ages 10-12, this is our most competitive division. Players in this division will put all their skills to the test as they play 9 inning games on a regulation size little league field.
