The players on the top teams
In Sweden, the top-tier Professional Basketball league is the Basketligan, which consists of 16 teams. The league was founded in 1992 and the season runs from October to April. The top eight teams at the end of the regular season advance to the playoffs.
There are a Number of players on the top teams who have played basketball at a high level in other countries. For example, on Sodertalje Kings, one of the Top Teams in Sweden, there are players from Spain, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In fact, many of the Top Players in Sweden come from other countries; this is due to the fact that Sweden does not have a large population, so there is limited homegrown talent.
However, there are still some very good Swedish players in the Basketligan. On Falun Borlange Basketball Club (BBK), another one of the top teams all but two players are Swedish. One of these Swedish players is Marcus Eriksson, who played collegiate basketball in America before returning to play in his home country.

Arne Klubb is the Head Coach of the Swedish national team He has been in charge of the team since 2015, and has had great success with them. In 2017, they won the European Championship, and in 2018 they won the World Cup
Magnus Andersson is the head coach of the defending champion, Solna Vikings. He has been with the team since 2013, and has helped them to become one of the best teams in Sweden.
Anders Larsson is the Head Coach of AIK, who are one of the most successful teams in Swedish history. They have won 19 league titles and 10 cup titles. Larsson has been in charge of AIK since 2016, and has helped them to continue their success.

There are four teams in Sweden’s top professional basketball league the Basketballligan (BBL). The league was founded in 2004 and consists of a total of 16 teams from all over the country. The teams play each other twice during the regular season with the top eight teams advancing to the playoffs.

Sweden’s top Basketball Teams have been very successful in winning championships. The most successful team is the Sodertalje Kings, who have won 10 championships since they were founded in 1966. They are followed by the Gothenburg Seahawks, who have won six championships since they were founded in 1982.
