How the rankings are determined
The Top Ten Tssaa Basketball Rankings are based on a number of factors, including wins, losses, Strength of Schedule and quality of wins. The rankings are compiled by a panel of experts and are released on a weekly basis.
What the rankings mean for the teams
high school basketball in Tennessee is governed by the Tssaa. The Tssaa oversees Basketball Rankings for high school teams in the state.
The rankings are used to seed teams for the post-season tournament. In order to be eligible for the tournament, teams must have played a minimum of fifteen games against other Tssaa-ranked teams.

How the rankings could change in the future
