The Txstate Baseball Team is a Division I college baseball team that competes in the Sun Belt Conference The team is currently coached by Mike Martin Jr. and plays its home games at Bobcat Ballpark on the campus of Texas State University in San Marcos Texas.
The Bobcats began play in 1913 and have won two conference championships and one regular season championship. The team has also made four NCAA tournament appearances, most recently in 2016. The 2016 squad finished the season with a 41-22 record, setting a program record for wins in a single season.

The TXSTATE baseball schedule is out, and the Bobcats are looking to build on their successful 2019 campaign in which they went 37-22 overall and 16-10 in conference play The ‘Cats will open the season on February 14th at home against Northern Colorado and they will play their first conference series of the year on the road against Louisiana from March 6-8. The Txstate baseball team is a disbanded college Baseball Team that represented Texas State University during the sport’s final season in 1972. The program was created in 1957 as a Division II independent, and became an NCAA Division I program in 1962. It began play in the Southland Conference in 1963, and won the conference championship in its first season. The team was disbanded following the 1972 season after the university dropped baseball due to financial reasons.
During its 16-year history, the Txstate Baseball team amassed a record of 443–247–3 (.641), won five conference championships, and made one NCAA Tournament appearance. It had 28 players who were drafted by Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, and three who went on to play in MLB.
