The two teams will face off on February 15th, with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 pm. The game will be played at Newman Park, which is the home field of the Catawba Indians.

This will be the first ever meeting between the Wagner College Seahawks and the Catawba Indians. The Seahawks are a Division I baseball team that plays in the East Conference while the Catawba Indians are a Division II Baseball Team that plays in the South Atlantic Conference

The Seahawks finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 19-27 and a conference record of 10-14. The team finished in fifth place in the Northeast Conference Standings and failed to qualify for the conference tournament The Catawba Indians finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 30-24 and a conference record of 16-8. The team finished in second place in the South Atlantic Conference standings and qualified for the conference tournament where they were defeated by Tusculum in the Opening Round

The Good:
Wagner will open their season at home against conference foe Monmouth on March 3rd. They will also have home games against some of the top teams in the Northeast, including Rhode Island Stony Brook and Albany.

The Bad:
Wagner will have to spend a lot of time on the road this season, with nearly half of their games being played away from Staten Island. They’ll also have to deal with some tough opponents while they’re on the road, including trips to Florida to play Miami and Central Florida.

Wagner will end their season with a string of four straight road games, including a three-game series at Fairleigh Dickinson
