The Schedule is Set

The return of baseball to Warren County is set for the spring, and the schedule is now available. The league will consist of six teams, with each team playing each other twice. The season will begin on May 1 and end on June 30.

The teams are as follows:

-Watauga Medical Center
-Boone Drug
-Lowe’s Foods
-Hanesbrands
--Appalachian State University

Each team will play a total of 22 games, with the first game of the season beginning at 6:00 PM on May 1.

The Roster is Loaded

The team is led by senior pitcher Ryan Smith who has already committed to play college ball at the University of Kentucky Smith is a hard-throwing right-hander with a devastating curveball. He has been turning heads all season, and scouts are already calling him a future Major League star.

Joining Smith in the pitching rotation is junior left-hander Jake Johnson. Johnson is a crafty lefty with good command of his pitches. He has been giving opposing hitters fits all season long

Jones is one of the quickest players on the team and uses his speed to his advantage on both offense and defense Miller is a versatile player who can play multiple positions and hit anywhere in the batting order
