Under the leadership of Head Coach Brad Selvaggi, the West Stokes Wildcats have rapidly become one of the Premier Basketball programs in North Carolina

Since taking over the program in 2013, Coach Selvaggi has led the Wildcats to four consecutive conference championships and three trips to the state playoffs, including a historic run to the Elite Eight in 2016.

With a core group of talented young players returning for the 2017-18 Season West Stokes is primed for another deep run in the playoffs. Be sure to catch them in action this winter!

Despite this success, the team was unable to win a state championship during this time.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the team experienced a down period, struggling to compete at the same level as before. However, this changed in the early 2000s when a new generation of talented players began to emerge. The team made a return to prominence, winning conference championships and making deep runs in the postseason.

The past decade has been the most successful in West Stokes history. The team has won multiple conference championships and made appearances in the state playoffs on a yearly basis. In 2019, the team made its first ever trip to the state semifinals. Despite coming up just short of their ultimate goal, this was a historic season for West Stokes Basketball.

When Head coach Garrett Stevens took over prior to the 2015-2016 season, he instilled a new level of discipline and accountability within the program. In addition to a change in culture, the team has also seen an improvement in talent. In recent years, West Stokes has had several players who have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
