Billy Donovan

Billy Donovan is currently the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder but he has a strong connection to the University of Georgia He played basketball for UGA from 1983 to 1987 and was an Assistant Coach under Hugh Durham from 1989 to 1995. Donovan was also head coach of the Florida Gators from 1996 to 2015, winning back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2006 and 2007.

Rick Pitino

Rick Pitino is an American college basketball coach. He is the former head coach of the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky He has also served as the head coach of the NBA’s Boston Celtics and New Jersey Nets Pitino is currently the head coach of Panathinaikos Athens in Greece.

Pitino began his coaching career as an assistant at Hawaii in 1974. He then became an assistant at Boston University in 1978. In 1980, he became Head Coach at Boston University where he led the team to a 26-5 record and an NCAA tournament appearance. Pitino then left Boston University to become an assistant coach at Providence College under head coach Joe Mullaney.

In 1985, Pitino was hired as head coach at Wake Forest University. In his two seasons at Wake Forest Pitino led the team to a 28-24 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances.

In 1987, Pitino became head coach at the University of Kentucky In his ten seasons at Kentucky, Pitino led the team to a 253-63 record and six NCAA Final Four appearances, winning the National Championship in 1996.

In 1997, Pitino left Kentucky to become Head Coach of the Boston Celtics In his four seasons with the Celtics, Pitino led the team to a 102-146 record and one playoff appearance.

In 2001, Pitino was hired as head coach of the University of Louisville In his eight seasons at Louisville, Pitino led the team to a 241-57 record and five NCAA tournament appearances, winning the National Championship in 2013.

Pitino was fired from Louisville in September 2017 after it was revealed that he had engaged in an extramarital affair with a woman who later accused him of rape. The affair allegedly occurred while she was employed as an escort by Louisville Basketball Program director Andre McGee.

Gregg Marshall

Gregg Marshall is the current head men’s basketball coach at Wichita State University He has held this position since 2007, and under his leadership, the team has made seven appearances in the NCAA tournament including one Final Four appearance in 2013. Prior to his time at Wichita State Marshall served as the head coach at Winthrop University from 1999 to 2007. During his time at Winthrop, he led the team to seven NCAA tournament appearances.
