American League

The American League of Major League Baseball is made up of 15 teams, broken into 3 divisions. These divisions are the East, the West, and the Central. The American League standings are important to determine which teams make the playoffs. The top three teams in each division make the playoffs, along with two wild card teams.

East

The American League East is currently led by the Tampa Bay Rays, followed by the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, and Baltimore Orioles.

West

As of August 8th, 2020, the American League West standings are as follows:
1. Houston Astros (36-19)
2. Oakland Athletics (34-20)
3. Los Angeles Angels (29-25)
4. Seattle Mariners (24-30)

National League

The National League of Major League Baseball (MLB) is one of two leagues that make up the MLB. It was founded in 1876. Currently, there are 15 teams in the National League. These teams are: Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and Washington Nationals.

East

The East Division of the National League is made up of the following teams:
