The Braves are a professional baseball team based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are members of the National League East division in Major League Baseball (MLB). The Braves have won three World Series championships, one in Milwaukee (1957) and two in Atlanta (1995, 1996), as well as 18 National League pennants. The franchise began as the Boston Red Stockings in 1871, before moving to Milwaukee in 1953 and then to Atlanta in 1966.

The Braves play spring training games at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida.

Today’s game features two of baseball’s best pitchers going head to head. The Braves’ Mike Foltynewicz will be up against the Cubs’ Jon Lester. Both pitchers have had great seasons so far, and this promises to be a close matchup.
Foltynewicz has been especially dominant lately, posting a 1.53 ERA over his last seven starts. He’s given up just four earned runs in that span, and he appears to be peaking at the right time. Lester, on the other hand, has had a bit more trouble lately, giving up 11 earned runs in his last three starts. However, he’s still a very good pitcher, and he’ll be looking to get back on track today.
