The league’s several international as well as individual team offices are directed out of its headquarter offices located in midtown Manhattan.
During its history, the NBA has taken steps to increase its international reach. In 2004, NBA Commissioner David Stern announced his intention to make the NBA “the first truly global professional sports league”. In 2008, the NBA hosted the Beijing Olympics basketball tournament for both men and women at venues across China. In 2012, Stern announced plans for game telecasts to be internationally syndicated to 215 countries and territories in 49 languages by 2013. According to a report by consulting firm Kagan Research LLC, global TV revenues for the NBA will grow from $215 million in 2009–10 season to $493 million by 2015–16 season.

NBA Championships
The NBA Finals is the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Eastern and Western conference champions play a best-of-seven game series to determine the league champion. The winning team of the series receives the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, which replacing the Walter A. Brown Trophy in 1983.
