Perro Aguayo Jr.
On March 21, 2020, Mexican professional wrestler Joaquín Ramírez Ortíz, better known by the ring name Perro Aguayo Jr., died after suffering an accidental fall in a match in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. He was 35 years old.
Born into a wrestling family—his father was the legendary luchador Perro Aguayo, and his uncle is Dos Caras Sr.—Aguayo Jr. made his professional debut in 1999. He quickly rose to prominence in the Mexican wrestling scene, winning numerous championships and becoming one of the most popular luchadores in the country.
In 2015, Aguayo Jr. made his debut in WWE’s developmental brand NXT, where he competed in several high-profile matches before returning to Mexico in 2016.
