Introduction
The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues, the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL’s 17-week regular season runs from early September to late December, with each team playing 16 games and having one bye week. Following the conclusion of the regular season, six teams from each conference (four division winners and two wild card teams) advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament culminating in the Super Bowl, which is usually held in February.
Trades That Have Already Happened

Trades That Could Still Happen
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, and there are a few trades that could still happen. Some of the names being thrown around are wide receiver DeVante Parker of the Miami Dolphins, offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert of the Arizona Cardinals and defensive end Jadeveon Clowney of the Houston Texans.
The Dolphins are reportedly shopping Parker, who has been hampered by an ankle injury this season. He’s caught 20 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown in six games.
The Cardinals are looking to unload Gilbert, who has struggled in his first season with Arizona. He’s allowed four sacks in seven games.
Clowney has been one of the most talked-about trade candidates leading up to the deadline. The Texans placed him on the trade block earlier this month, but they’ve yet to find a suitable offer. Clowney has 2.5 sacks in seven games this season.
