LeBron James
Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that LeBron James is one of the best basketball players in the world. He’s a physical freak who seems to only be getting better with age, and he’s already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
There are plenty of other great players in the league right now, but none of them can match LeBron’s combination of size, strength, speed, agility, and skill. He’s an elite athlete who is also an excellent shooter, passer, and rebounder. He seems to have no weaknesses on the basketball court, and he always seems to come through in the clutch.
LeBron has won three NBA championships, four MVP Awards, three Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals. He’s also been named to the All-Star team twelve times. At just 33 years old, he shows no signs of slowing down and will likely continue to dominate the NBA for years to come.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played two seasons of college basketball for the San Diego State Aztecs, and was named a consensus second-team All-American as a sophomore. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the fifteenth overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, but was later traded to the San Antonio Spurs.
After spending his first few seasons with the Spurs mostly coming off the bench, Leonard became one of the best players in the NBA during his time with San Antonio, being named an All-Star and winning Defensive Player of the Year twice. He also helped lead them to an NBA Championship in 2014. He was named Finals MVP after averaging 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game during the series.
In 2018, he was traded to Toronto Raptors, where he continued to play at an All-Star level, winning another Defensive Player of the Year award and helping Toronto win their first NBA championship in franchise history in 2019 while being named Finals MVP for a second time. After one season with Toronto, Leonard signed with the Clippers in 2019.
Anthony Davis
In just his seventh season, Davis has firmly established himself as one of the most dominant players in the NBA. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound big man is averaging 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting a career-high 53.7 percent from the field and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line. He’s also chipping in 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists per game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as the Greek Freak, is an incredible player who does it all for the Milwaukee Bucks. At 6’11”, he has the size of a traditional power forward, but he also has the speed and handles of a guard. He averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game this past season, and he is only getting better. In addition to his offensive prowess, Giannis is also an excellent defender. He was named the Defensive Player of the Year this past season, and he has the potential to become one of the best defenders in the league. Giannis is still just 25 years old, and he has already established himself as one of the best players in the NBA.
Russell Westbrook
One could make the case that no player in the league is having a better season than Russell Westbrook. The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard is averaging a triple-double (31.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 10.4 assists) for the season, and he’s on pace to become the first player to do so since Oscar Robertson in 1961-62. Westbrook is also shooting a career-high 8.6 rebounds per game and is second in the league in scoring behind only James Harden.
