Yankees

The New York Yankees are an American professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of the Bronx. The Yankees compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the American League East division. They are one of two major league clubs based in New York City, the other being the New York Mets of the National League. The Yankees began to play in 1901 as an expansion team and won their first AL pennant in 1921.

Game one

The Yankees won the first game against the Blue Jays with a score of 9-2. Masahiro Tanaka pitched six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and striking out eight batters. The Yankees’ offense was led by shortstop Didi Gregorius, who homered twice and drove in five runs.

Game two

The Houston Astros came back from a 5-1 deficit to win game two of the ALCS 7-6 against the New York Yankees.

The game was tied at 6 in the bottom of the ninth inning when Astros shortstop Carlos Correa hit a walk-off home run to right field to give Houston the win.

Correa’s home run was his second of the game and gave him five RBIs for the night. George Springer also hit two home runs for Houston, while Gary Sanchez and Gleyber Torres each hit one for the Yankees.

Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are an American professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) East division. The Red Sox are often considered to be one of the best teams in baseball, and last night’s game was no exception.

Game one

The game was a close one, with the Red Sox winning by a score of 6-5. It was a come from behind win for the Sox, as they were down 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth inning. Mookie Betts hit a walk off home run to give the Sox the win.

Game two

In game two of the series, the Red Sox jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as they cruised to a 9-3 victory over the Astros. Boston’s offense was clicking on all cylinders, as nine different players had at least one hit.

Right fielder Mookie Betts was once again the star of the show, as he went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Third baseman Rafael Devers also had a big game, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored. Starting pitcher Rick Porcello was solid on the mound, allowing three runs (two earned) in six innings of work.

With the win, the Red Sox took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
