After being down 3–2 in the series after GSW’s game 5 victory at home , Leonard would once again lead his team to victory averaging 28 points per game along with 9 rebounds per game and 6 assists per game en route to his second NBA Finals MVP award becoming one of only 4 players ever to win Finals MVP on multiple teams joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar , LeBron James , and Magic Johnson . In Game 6 , he would once again be clutch hitting another buzzer beater this time giving Toronto a 106–105 lead which would prove to be enough as GSW couldn’t answer back. With that Game 6 victory , he achieved something that no other Raptor player has accomplished before him : being first player ever to hit 2 buzzer beaters in an NBA playoffs series also giving him another record most points scored in an elimination game with 34 points . Following their historic victory over GSW , celebrations broke out all over Toronto with people honking car horns cheering all throughout downtownToronto .
