Who’s the Top Quarterback in the NFL?

It’s a tough question to answer, but we take a look at the numbers and try to determine who the top quarterback in the NFL is.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady is considered by many to be the greatest quarterback of all time. He has led the New England Patriots to nine Super Bowl appearances, winning seven of them. Brady has also been named the Super Bowl MVP four times. He is the all-time leader in postseason passing yards and touchdowns.

New England Patriots

With a record six Super Bowl wins, quarterback Tom Brady is widely regarded as the best player in NFL history. Brady has played his entire professional career with the New England Patriots, winning four Super Bowls with the team and becoming the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes.

A two-time NFL Most Valuable Player and three-time Super Bowl MVP, Brady has also been selected to 14 Pro Bowls, more than any other quarterback in NFL history. He is one of only two players to win five Super Bowls (the other being defensive end Charles Haley), and he is the only player to win all five as a starter.

In addition to his on-field success, Brady has also been recognized for his charitable work, winning the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2017.

Stats

Tom Brady is widely considered to be the best quarterback in the NFL. He has led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl wins, which is the most by any quarterback in NFL history. Brady has also been named Super Bowl MVP four times, which is also an NFL record.

In his career, Brady has thrown for over 70,000 yards and 517 touchdowns. He has also been selected to 14 Pro Bowls and has been named First-Team All-Pro on six occasions. Brady is currently fourth all-time in passing yards and third all-time in passing touchdowns.

Drew Brees

In my opinion, Drew Brees is the top quarterback in the NFL. He has led the New Orleans Saints to nine playoff appearances and a Super Bowl title. He is a five-time Pro Bowler and was named the Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year twice.

New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He had a successful college career at Purdue University, where he was recognized as a consensus All-American and won the 2001 Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Award. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers with the first pick in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He left college as one of the most decorated players in Purdue history, holding numerous school records. As of 2019, he remains the Big Ten Conference’s all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.

Stats

In his career, he has completed 6,586 of 10,644 passes for 77,416 yards and 547 touchdowns, with a passer rating of 96.7. He has also rushed for 1,018 yards and 17 touchdowns. His 547 career touchdown passes are second all time trailing only Peyton Manning’s 579.

Aaron Rodgers

When it comes to quarterbacks, there is always a lot of debate as to who is the best. However, when it comes to the top quarterback in the NFL, there is no debate. That man is Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. Let’s take a look at why he is considered the best.

Green Bay Packers

Although he’s only played professional football for 16 years, Rodgers has already had a prosperous career.

The quarterback was born in Chico, California and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. He played football and baseball in high school, and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays out of high school in the 2000 Major League Baseball draft. However, he decided to attend college at the University of California, Berkeley where he played both football and baseball.

In 2005, Rodgers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the NFL draft. He served as a backup to Brett Favre for three seasons before becoming the Packers’ starting quarterback in 2008. He led the Packers to a victory in Super Bowl XLV in 2011 and was named Super Bowl MVP. He has also been named to seven Pro Bowls and was named NFL MVP twice (2011, 2014).

With a career passer rating of 103.1, Rodgers is the all-time leader among quarterbacks with at least 1,500 passing attempts; his career total QBR of 83 is second only to that of Russell Wilson among quarterbacks with at least 1,000 passing attempts. He has also led his team to more fourth quarter come-from-behind victories than any other quarterback in NFL history with 26 (playoffs included). Rodgers is fifth all-time on the NFL’s regular season list for most passing yards (46,944), touchdowns (363), and passer rating (103.1); he ranks fourth on their career postseason list for most passing yards (5,311), most passing touchdowns (45), and highest passer rating (102.4); he also ranks first amongst active quarterbacks for most games played with 187 through week 17 of 2019 season

Stats

In his career, Rodgers has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 45,640 yards, 363 touchdowns and 77 interceptions. He has a career passer rating of 103.8. Rodgers has also rushed for 2,558 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is currently the best quarterback in the NFL. He has led his team to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances and has won one Super Bowl. He is a mobile quarterback who can make plays with his feet and has a strong arm. He is also a very accurate passer.

Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson is an American football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Wisconsin during the 2011 season, and was drafted by the Seahawks with the 12th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Wilson led the Seahawks to victory in Super Bowl XLVIII, becoming the second African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl. In 2014, he was named to be one of four team captains and, in 2015, he won his second Super Bowl with them.

Stats

In his eight NFL seasons, Wilson has passed for 27,454 yards and 232 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 3,827 yards and 28 touchdowns. His career passer rating of 102.1 is the best in NFL history, and he has the fourth most touchdown passes and the fifth highest yards per attempt average in NFL history. Wilson has also been selected to six Pro Bowls, led his team to nine playoff appearances and won a Super Bowl.
