Why Is Sable Banned From WWE?
Many people are wondering why Sable, one of the most popular WWE Superstars of all time, is banned from WWE. While the exact reasons are unknown, there are some theories floating around.
One theory is that Sable was banned because she was too much of a diva. She reportedly demanded first-class travel and other perks that were not in her contract. WWE officials were not happy with her behavior and decided to
Sable’s Early Life
Sable was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 8, 1967. Her real name is Renee Richards. She has one sister and two brothers. Sable’s father was in the military, so the family moved around a lot when she was growing up. Sable attended twelve different schools before she graduated from high school.
Sable’s first job was working as a model for swimsuits and lingerie. She also appeared in Playboy magazine three times. Sable met her future husband, Marc Mero, when she was working as a model for Playboy. They were married in 2006.
Sable made her debut in WWE in 1996. She quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE history. Sable won the WWF Women’s Championship twice and was named Miss WrestleMania in 1999. She left WWE in 1999 but returned in 2003. Sable left WWE again in 2004 and has not returned since.
Sable’s WWE Career
Sable’s WWE career began when she was introduced as Marc Mero’s valet in 1996. She quickly became one of the most popular personalities in the company, and her sex appeal and willingness to bare skin was a major factor in the early success of the WWE’s “Attitude Era.”
However, behind the scenes, Sable was reportedly not happy with her position in the company. She felt she was being treated like a second-class citizen, and she famously walked out on WWE in 1999. Sable would eventually return to WWE in 2003, but her second run with the company was much shorter than her first.
In 2004, Sable filed a $140 million lawsuit against WWE, alleging that she had been subjected to sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions. The case was eventually settled out of court, but the damage had been done. Sable’s relationship with WWE had been irreparably damaged, and she has not appeared on WWE television since 2004.
The Night Sable Was Banned From WWE
Sable was one of the most popular divas in WWE during the late 1990s. She was a two-time Women’s Champion and was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 1999. However, her time in WWE came to an abrupt end in 1999 when she was banned from the company.
The story goes that Sable was unhappy with her position in WWE and wanted to leave the company. She was offered a new contract that would have paid her $300,000 per year, but she refused to sign it. WWE then suspended her and told her she could not return until she signed the contract.
Sable then decided to file a lawsuit against WWE, alleging that she had been sexually harassed by CEO Vince McMahon and that the working conditions in WWE were unsafe. The case was eventually settled out of court, but Sable was still banned from WWE.
It wasn’t until 2003 that Sable finally returned to WWE. She made a few sporadic appearances before finally leaving the company for good in 2004.
The Aftermath of Sable’s Ban
Sable’s WWE ban was short-lived, however, as she returned to the company in late 1999. However, her time with the company was far from over. In early 2000, following a public spat with then-WWE head writer Vince Russo, Sable left WWE once again. This time, her departure would be permanent.
In the years that followed, Sable would make occasional wrestling appearances, most notably in 2004 when she worked a few dates for New Japan Pro Wrestling. She would also venture into acting, appearing in television shows and movies such as Dark Angel and Corky Romano.
As for her WWE career, it’s safe to say that it’s over. In May 2008, Sable was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, cementing her legacy as one of the most popular WWE Superstars of all time.
Sable’s Return to WWE
In 1999, Sable left WWE after filing a $110 million lawsuit against the company. She claimed that she had been the victim of sexual harassment and was treated as a sex object. Sable also claimed that she was made to work in unsafe conditions.
In 2003, Sable returned to WWE on a part-time basis. She made occasional appearances until 2004 when she left WWE again.
Sable returned to WWE for a third time in 2006. She competed in a few matches and then became a member of the SmackDown announce team. Sable remained with WWE until 2008 when she was released from her contract.
Since leaving WWE, Sable has made sporadic appearances on independent wrestling shows. She has also appeared on reality television shows and in mainstream films.
It is unknown why Sable is banned from WWE. It is possible that she is no longer under contract with the company or that she has requested not to be used by WWE.
