The Worcester State baseball team is made up of some of the most talented and skilled players in the country. Here is a list of the top 10 players on the team, according to their batting average home run record, and stolen bases.
1. Chris Lockwood – Chris is a senior infielder and is batting .333 so far this season with 2 home runs and 9 stolen bases.
2. Tyler White – Tyler is a sophomore outfielder and is batting .327 with 1 home run and 7 stolen bases.
3. Kevin Larkin – Kevin is a junior infielder and is batting .321 with 1 home run and 4 stolen bases.
4. Ryan Milligan – Ryan is a senior pitcher and has a batting average of .316 with 2 home runs and 5 stolen bases.
5. Mikey Pardo – Mikey is a sophomore pitcher and has a batting average of .313 with 1 home run and 3 stolen bases.
6. Kyle Murphy – Kyle is a junior outfielder/infielder and is batting .302 with 2 home runs and 9 stolen bases.
7. Dan DiIanni – Dan is a senior catcher/infielder and has a batting average of .300 with 1 Home Run and 5 stolen bases.

As a junior, Alex Kenyon has already made his mark on the Worcester State baseball program The speedy outfielder from Granby, Mass. has started all but one game in his collegiate career and has been a key cog in the Lancers’ lineup over the past two seasons.
Entering his junior year, Kenyon was tabbed as a preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and he did not disappoint, leading the Lancers in batting average (. 395), hits (73), stolen bases (22) and runs scored (47). He also ranked second on the team in doubles (17) and triples (4) and third in Home Runs (5). For his efforts, Kenyon was named first team All-MASCAC and second team All-New England.
In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Kenyon is also a two-time recipient of the MASCAC Sportsmanship Award and was honored with the Worcester State Male Athlete of the Year Award at the 2018 WSU Student-Athlete Recognition Banquet.
3. Sophomore Infielder/Outfielder Chris Rinaldi
Chris Rinaldi, a sophomore infielder and outfielder from Holden, is one of the top 10 players on the Worcester State baseball roster Rinaldi played in all 39 games for the Lancers last season, starting in 38 of them. He batted .360 with a .425 on-base percentage .511 Slugging percentage and .936 OPS. He also had 45 hits, 31 RBIs, and scored 31 runs.
Rinaldi was named a Second Team All-Star by the Massachusetts State collegiate athletic conference (MASCAC) last season. He was also named the MASCAC Rookie of the Year and earned Worcester State’s Coaches’ Award for his outstanding play.
4. Sophomore Infielder/Outfielder Mikey Reynolds
Sophomore Infielder/Outfielder Mikey Reynolds was one of ten players Worcester State brought in during the 2019 recruiting class Reynolds is a native of Westborough, Massachusetts and a graduate of Westborough High School He played his freshman season at Holy Cross before transferring to Worcester State. In his one season with the Lancers, he batted .333/.412/.500 with two home runs eleven RBIs, and six stolen bases in thirty-two games played
Reynolds is expected to be a key player for Worcester State this season. He has the potential to be an everyday player in the infield or outfield and could be a very good leadoff hitter for the Lancers. He has good speed and is a solid contact hitter with some power. Look for him to have a breakout season for Worcester State this year.
5. Freshman Infielder/Outfielder Jaden Smith
Jaden Smith is a freshman infielder/outfielder for Worcester State. He bats and throws left-handed. Smith is from Holden, Massachusetts and attended Wachusett Regional high school As a senior, he was named a Central Massachusetts Division 1 All-Star.
6. Freshman Outfielder/Utility Player Ryan McCarthy
As a freshman, Ryan McCarthy made an immediate impact on the Worcester State baseball team Primarily playing outfield and utility, he helped the team to a 19-13 record, their best since 2011. In 35 games, he hit .301 with four home runs and 26 RBIs. He was named both a First Team All-American and a First Team All-Region player.
7. Freshman Utility Player/Infielder Luke Bakanowsky
Bakanowsky hails from Worcester, and he played his high school ball at Holy Name. The 5-foot-10-inch 175 pounder was a key cog in the Naps’ run to the Central Mass. Division 1 semifinals last year. As a senior, he hit .451 with 23 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He had five doubles, two home runs and eight stolen bases. He was named a Telegram & Gazette Super Teamer and an Hometeam All-Star.
8. Senior Pitcher/Outfielder Mikey Dolan
One of the top all-around athletes in the Worcester State Baseball program, Dolan enters his senior year as one of the team’s most experienced and versatile players. A hard-throwing right-hander, he has made 15 starts on the mound in his career, compiling a 6-4 record with a 3.54 ERA. In 79 innings pitched he has struck out 85 batters while walking just 32. He has also shown the ability to swing the bat, posting a career batting average of .267 with 13 RBIs. Dolan will once again be counted on to play a key role for the Lancers in 2019 as they look to build on last year’s success.
9. Junior Pitcher/Infielder/Outfielder Sean Casey
Sean Casey is a versatile player who can contribute on the mound, in the infield, and in the outfield. He’s been a key player for Worcester State over the past two seasons, and he figures to be an even bigger contributor as a junior. Casey has a strong arm and good bat speed and he has the ability to play all three positions well. He’s also an excellent athlete, which makes him a Valuable Player on both Offense and defense

O’Herron is a two-way player that will make an immediate impact on the team. He can play all three field positions and also serves as the team’s closer. O’Herron is a hard-throwing right-hander that can reach the upper-90s with his fastball.
