Yale Women’s Hockey is a championship team. They have won the National Championship four times, most recently in 2017. The team is composed of student-athletes who are committed to excellence on and off the ice.
The team’s success is a result of their hard work dedication, and love for the game. They are supported by a passionate and committed Coaching Staff The team’s goal is to win the National Championship every year.

The Road to the Championship
The Yale women’s Hockey team has been on a roll this season, and their hard work has paid off with a trip to the National Championship The Bulldogs have been one of the top teams in the country all season, and they are looking to take home the title.
The team has been led by senior goaltender Erin Larsen, who has been outstanding in net. Larsen has posted a .943 save percentage and a 1.47 goals against average, and she has been named the Ivy League Player of the Year.
The Bulldogs will take on Minnesota in the National Championship game, and they are confident that they can come out on top. Yale Head Coach Joakim Flygh believes that his team is ready to take home the title, and he is confident in their ability to do so.
The Team That Made It Happen
In the 2017-2018 season the Yale women’s hockey team made history by winning their first-ever National Championship This was a huge accomplishment for the team, and it would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of every single player. Forwards
The Yale forwards are a force to be reckoned with on the ice. They are quick, skilled, and know how to put the puck in the net. Led by captain Kirstin Healy ’18, the forwards were a major reason why Yale was able to win the National Championship Other Key Players include Phoebe Staenz ’20, Greta SkarBACK ’21, and Eden Murray ’22.
Defensemen
The defensive core of Yale’s National Championship team was rock-solid, thanks in large part to captain Emma Vlasic ’18. Vlasic was a stalwart on the blue line shutting down opponents and making life easy for goalie Hanna Mandl ’19. Other key defensemen include Jamie Haddad ’21, Kali Flanagan ’22, and Kate Martini ’22.
Goalies
Yale’s goaltending was outstanding all season long and it was a big reason why they were able to win the national championship Starter Hanna Mandl was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA tournament and she proved time and time again that she is one of the best goalies in all of college hockey Backup goalie Kyra O’Brien ’22 also had a great season, providing solid relief when needed.
The Game That Won It All
In the final game of the season, the Yale Women’s hockey team faced off against their longtime rivals, the Harvard Crimson. The game was tight, and neither team was able to gain a clear advantage. In the dying minutes of the third period, Yale forward Kendall Coyne scored the winning goal, leading her team to a 3-2 victory and the NCAA championship title.

But more than just having fans, this team has something that most other teams don’t: a true sense of family. From the players to the coaches to the staff, everyone involved with this program feels like they are part of something special. And that family feeling is evident in the way they play on the ice.
So whether you’re a die-hard fan or just someone who enjoys watching a great hockey game be sure to catch the Yale Women’s Hockey Team in action. They are truly a special group of student-athletes and are representing Yale University in the best way possible.
The Journey Back Home
The Yale womens Hockey Team finally made it back home after a long and difficult journey. The team was welcomed home by a large crowd of supporters, who had been waiting eagerly for their return. The team captain spoke to the crowd, thanking them for their support and saying that the team would not have been able to make it back without their help.

Yale Mens Hockey A Championship Team – Forever
Yale Women’s Hockey team is one of the most historical and successful programs in NCAA Division I women’s hockey. They have been a part of the Ivy League since it began sponsoring women’s Ice Hockey in 1986, and have won 10 league championships. They have made it to the NCAA Tournament 15 times and the Frozen Four 8 times, most recently in 2016. The team has had 28 Olympians and 6 National Players of the Year, and is currently coached by Joakim Flygh.
