Here is a look at what to expect from each team in this year’s tournament:
ALABAMA
The Crimson Tide are coming off a disappointing Regular Season in which they went just 19-15 overall and 8-10 in SEC play. However, Alabama did finish strong by winning seven of its final 10 games, which included a series win over then-No. 1 Florida. The Tide’s pitching staff has been excellent all season long, posting a league-best 2.96 ERA. Sophomore right-hander Geoffrey Bramblett has been Alabama’s best pitcher, going 7-2 with a 2.01 ERA in 13 starts. The Tide offense has struggled for most of the season and is averaging just 4.5 runs per game, but it did show some life late in the year by scoring 31 runs over its final three games against Florida and Kansas State Alabama’s leading hitters are junior third baseman Chandler Avant (.329 batting average 29 RBI) and sophomore first baseman Cobie Vance (.286 batting average 27 RBI).
ARKANSAS
The Razorbacks had high hopes for this season after reaching the College World Series last year, but they have failed to live up to expectations and come into the SEC Tournament with a 29-25 overall record and an 8-10 mark in league play. Arkansas’ offense has been its strength all season long as it is averaging 6.8 runs per game, which ranks second in the SEC behind Vanderbilt (7.5). The Hogs are also second in the league with 61 home runs as junior third baseman Zack Plunkett (11), senior first baseman Clark Eagan (10) and senior Left fielder Luke Bonfield (9) have all gone deep at least nine times apiece. On the mound, Arkansas’ staff ERA of 3.76 ranks sixth in the SEC but it is coming off a solid performance last week against Kentucky as it allowed just two earned runs over 27 innings while striking out 32 batters . Sophomore righty Blaine Knight (6-3, 2\.80 ERA) leads Arkansas’ pitching staff while senior lefty Matt Cronin (4 saves, 1\.50 ERA) anchors its bullpen . Cronin was named first team All-SEC on Monday .
AUBURN
Auburn looked like it was headed for a disappointing season when it went just 5-17 in league play during April , but it closed out the regular season on a high note by winning eight of its final 10 games to finish 26 – 28 overall and 13 – 17 It was a surprising turnaround for Auburn , which became just the second team ever to make after starting 0 – 9 This hot streak was fueled by an offense that scored eight or more runs seven times during that 10 – game stretch . The Tigers finished the Regular Season averaging 5\.8 RPG , which ranks fourth 13th Auburn does not have any standout performers on offense , as no player is batting better than .270 with more than five homers or 30 RBI , but it does have good depth as 11 players have at least 20 RBI On Pitching has been an issue for Auburn all year long \n , as its staff ERA of 5\.28 ranks 12th among all 14 SEC teams \n . However \n , if Auburn can get some quality starts from pitchers like Casey Mize \n ( 4 – 3 \n , 3\.71 ERA ) \nand Cole Lipscomb ( 4 – 5 \n , 4\.67 ERA )\nthen it could make some noise in this tournament\n

Here is a preview of all 14 SEC teams:
Alabama: The Crimson Tide are seeded fifth in this year’s tournament and will play unranked Mississippi State in their first game on Wednesday, May 25. Alabama is coming off a disappointing regular season in which they went 17-14 in SEC play and finished tied for ninth place. However, Alabama does have one of the best pitchers in the country in left-hander Alex Kirilloff, who comes into the tournament with a 9-2 record and a 2.54 ERA. If Kiriloff can pitch well and lead the Crimson Tide to a few victories, they could make some noise in this year’s tournament.
Arkansas: The Razorbacks are seeded fourth in this year’s tournament and will play South Carolina in their first game on Wednesday, May 25. Arkansas went 21-10 in SEC play this season and finished second place behind Texas A&M. Arkansas is led by junior first baseman Luke Bonfield, who is batting .313 with 13 home runs and 47 RBIs on the season. The Razorbacks also have a solid pitching staff that features relievers Matt Cronin (1.86 ERA) and Josh Alberius (1.93 ERA). If Arkansas can get some good pitching performances from its starters, it has a good chance to win the tournament for the first time since 1999.
Auburn: The Tigers are seeded sixth in this year’s tournament and will play LSU in their first game on Wednesday, May 25. Auburn had a disappointing regular season as they went 18-13 in SEC play and finished tied for ninth place with Alabama. However, Auburn does have some talented players on its roster such as junior third baseman Jonah Todd (.302 batting average) and sophomore outfielder Anfernee Grier (.279 batting average 19 stolen bases). If Auburn can get hot at the right time and string together some wins, it could make a run at theSEC title.
