SEC Baseball: Today’s Games and How to Watch

It’s SEC baseball season and today there are some great games on tap! Here’s a rundown of today’s action, and how you can watch it all unfold.

Introduction

The Eastern Conference (SEC) is composed of 14 member schools who compete in baseball. The conference is separated into two divisions, East and West. Each team plays the other teams in their division a total of 16 times during the regular season At the end of the regular season the top four teams from each division compete in the SEC Baseball Tournament a double-elimination tournament. The winner of the tournament earns the SEC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament

The 2019 Sec Baseball Tournament will be held at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama from May 21-26. LSU is the defending tournament champion.

What to Watch For

Ole Miss will look to keep their SEC tournament hopes alive as they take on Alabama. First pitch is at 7:30 pm ET, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network+.

Lastly, Kentucky will face off against Auburn in a critical matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 8:00 pm ET, and the game can be seen on ESPN2.

Game 1: Vanderbilt vs. Auburn

In game one of the day, the No. 2 seed Vanderbilt Commodores will take on the Auburn Tigers The Commodores are coming off a loss to Florida in the SEC Tournament semifinals, while the Tigers won their last game against Arkansas.

This game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and will be available to stream on WatchESPN. First pitch is scheduled for noon ET.

Game 2: Arkansas vs. Texas A&M

In Game 2 of the SEC Baseball Tournament the Arkansas Razorbacks will face off against the Texas A&M Aggies. The game is set to start at 11:00am CT and can be watched on ESPNU.

Arkansas is the tournament’s top seed after finishing the Regular Season with a record of 40-16 (19-11 SEC). The Razorbacks have been one of the SEC’s best teams all season and will look to continue their success in the tournament. Texas A&M, on the other hand, comes into the game as the 9th seed with a record of 32-25 (13-17 SEC). The Aggies will need to play their best baseball if they want to advance in the tournament.

This should be a great game between two very good teams. Be sure to tune in!

Game 3: Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss

In game three of the series, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will take on the Ole Miss Rebels The Bulldogs are currently leading the series 2-0, and are looking to sweep the Rebels. The game will be played at Swayze Field in Oxford, Mississippi.

The Bulldogs are currently ranked #2 in the nation, while the Rebels are unranked. However, Ole Miss has been playing well lately and could give Mississippi State a run for their money.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM CT, and can be watched on ESPNU.

Game 4: LSU vs. Alabama

In game four of the SEC Tournament top-seeded LSU will take on Alabama. The Tigers are coming off a loss to Arkansas in the semifinals, while the Crimson Tide defeated Ole Miss to advance to the Championship game

This is a rematch of the regular season finale, which LSU won 5-4 in 10 innings. The Tigers will be looking to even the score against their SEC rivals, while Alabama will be looking to prove that their Regular Season victory was no fluke.

In game six of the SEC Baseball Tournament the top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats will take on the Georgia Bulldogs The Bulldogs are coming off a Big Win against Arkansas yesterday, while the Wildcats had a bye. This will be the first meeting between these two teams this season. The game will start at 4:00pm ET and will be televised on ESPN2.
